Good morning all
I have been off the forum for some itme now, having to adapt to severe sight loss due to AMD amongst other sight issues. But now I either have to try to keep 'Making' something or give up, which does not appeal. So...............
I find I can use a large screen monitor to set up the Vcarve and can magnify any part of it to work on the fiddly bits,. If I can get this CRV onto a flash drive I think the CNC itelf will do the rest.
My plan for now is to create a smallish oval trinket box (9 in by 4) with a lift off lid, (This I have done way back in the past) but as I live on the Isle of Man I would like to use the flag as a centrepiece on the lid. It would be in a dished circle about 2.5 inches in diameter by about 3/8 in deep.
I have no ability to make a toolpath for this from a photo, so may I plese ask someone who is so far ahead of me in this to tell me if this is possibel or even to shoe me how.
Thanks in advance,
Drew Herdman.

Something Similar to This???
I do understand you Probably want a Rectangle Shaped Box (4" x 9") but I had this file and just added your flag to it.
Decided to rectify to your desire!!!
Just a Thought!!!

Re: Back on track hoprfully
What version of Vcarve are you using
Is it just a usable set of vectors you would like or were you thinking about a 3D component?

Hi
Many thnks for your comment, much paareciated.
I am using V 11.5 thr free download.
I would luje a 3d component if possible butit might have to be in Aspire.
The box will bein pine .75 thick in 3 layers Base middle and lid. the centre circlewhre the flag would go can by any suitable sice as needed.
I attach a pic of how it could look later.
Cheers,

Re: Back on track hoprfully
Your not using a trial version of 11.5 are you? You won't be able to save the toolpath files if you are using a trial version, you would be better doing the work on the licenced version that you own even if that is an earlier version

Re: Back on track hoprfully
Nope it is te full version, So all is well in that direction. I will be making a test cut soon without the flag as a test piece. I have saved the toolpaths to a flash drive for this version, but need the flag to complete the box. One way or another,
Cheers.
Cheers.

One can find an SVG or PDF file of the flag quite easily. One such example is here.
But, these usually are for print output such that the visual illusion:
