Intentionally draw a Double Line.

Post by J Paul M »

While tracing a number of items (in VCarve Pro11.504) I've come across times I'd wished for the ability to draw a double line. Yes, I end up offsetting, but then I create more work because now I have to delete the undesired parts. Being able to draw a double line of a desired width would be great!

Is this option available?

There isn't that I know of, in fact I am not aware of a drawing program that this is available in although I haven't looked at some of them for a long time so that may have changed

If you have a single line drawing it isn't always a lot of extra work, depending on the drawing you have you can offset both inwards & outwards at the same time with the box checked to delete the original

InkScape does make double lines when tracing thick (wide ?) original lines. Would that be of any help to you ?
