Work in progress my latest inlay

Just did the female today… heading to Vegas next week for the awards show so it will be a couple of weeks until this board is completed, the male inlay will be yellow heart and should be a good contrast to the walnut when oil and wax is applied.
Yes to all the v carve purists I used a tapered ball nose.
Will post the final result in the gallery in a couple of week.

I agree, I would like to see a picture once complete. What kind of wood is that?

The timber is walnut and I will be using yellow heart for the inlay.
The walnut for this board is second grade walnut which I have now used up, from now on my stock is “prime” walnut
