a little problem

Post by potl »

Hi
I run into a small problem when I have to mill a flat surface on this plate. I've always done it this way offset the diameter and made a pocket toolpath, but get an error message??
What is this?

I all fairness, I don't even understand the error message...

Is it me or is the message text unclear ? It refers to multiple tools ('The following tools', 'they') but you only seem to have specified one ?

Marcel.

You have the diameter of the tool set to 27 inches.

Your ramping length is set at 25mm which is only 2/3 the diameter of the cutter. That might not be enough. If it was me I’d probably set it at 2 or 3 times the cutter diameter (e.g. 76 or 114mm).
