Looking for a model

Post by olf20 »

I'm working on a project for my niece and
she wants a S curve. I'm sure there is a
proper name for it. I inquired at Design and
Make and they don't have one.
Just wondering if any of you might know where
I could get one. Picture attached.
Thanks for any help!

I'm happy to give you one in 2D, but not in 3D, unfortunately. Give a yell if you're interested.

Marcel.

I would say yes but after looking on the web for
sometime, it seems that the wording is somewhat
generic. Lots of different shapes called the same
thing.
Thanks for the reply!!

Given the quite organic form of the object I would suggest modelling it with Blender - or Rhino, on second thought. Not my forte, alas (understatement of the year, easily).I bet Steven can do this within a coffee break, but I do not know whether he wants to.

If you go to Design and Make, look up 'Flourish'..... Lots and lots of S shapes.

I had been there first, and again just now.
Did not find anything like I posted. Maybe
I've missed it / them.
Thanks for the reply!

Without any descriptions or type of 3D model, this might work for you. I didn't spent a lot of time on it and it's kind of crude.

As previously posted, we can make this a fancy S in 3D with Aspire. We do know a little about a lot of stuff. Guessing some of the vectric gurus already did a trace and started tinkering with the Bezier curves in node edit. STL export...

Looks like a couple of guys already made the 3D model. Pretty simple.

Just save the model as STL and send it to the requester.

I can do it, but I am making supper right now.

Tomorrow morning is busy for me.

I can do it later tomorrow afternoon around 5 or 6 EST
