Re: Looking for a model
You are very welcome and I'm glad I could help. It could still use a little fine tuning. As I said before I didn't spend a lot of time on it. Just manually traced the lines with the drawing tools, created a component in Aspire and exported it as an STL.

Re: Looking for a model
Is there any software out there that I can use
to manipulate the sizes of a model? I don't mean
to move X and Y but to curve, or to shorten it in
the middle.
I know Aspire will but that's out of my budget.
Thanks

Re: Looking for a model
I'm not sure I understand your question. If you want to change the size you can use the sizing tool or double click on the model and use the sizing handles. The part about "shorten it in the middle" is confusing. If you want to change the surface or lower, raise or bend the model in a selected area then you will need Aspire or a 3rd party 3D modeling program.

Re: Looking for a model
I was looking to put a bend in the middle
to conform to a round dish.
I'll have to look into some of the 3d modeling
software. Most I find to be steep learning curve.
Any suggestions other thank Aspire?
I like to spend most of my time designing and
running the machine.
Thanks again for your help!

Re: Looking for a model
All 3D modeling software has a steep learning curve and will take diligence and patience to learn how to use them. There is talk that Blender is pretty good and it's free for the basic version. I have no experience with it so I can't really recommend it.
