Job Sheet

Post by Zcases »

I can't believe I didn't see anything on this in a search.

Is there some way to conveniently print a Jobsheet? I mean like that in some CAM systems where you print a "summary" page out that itemizes tools used, descriptions, times, etc.

Hi Scott,
Under Toolpath list the estimated machine time button is about it.
the times can be copied out but a job sheet function would be helpful from time to time.

This info would be great if it was also added into a header of the cut file.
The Shopbot control software has something very simular and can add info to the header portion of the cut file. But it would be nice if this could be automaticly done with the cam software... maybe this is one for the Wish List????

I seem to remember it being requested back during Beta of VCP.
I attach a print out of a screen capture to the piece of wood the job is assigned to. It might be weeks before I actually cut it so this is my way of keeping track and not using the blank for something else. The screen capture will have all the info I need to pull up the .crv file and double check everything before it goes to the machine. If enough people express a interest in this, maybe we can convince Vectric to add it to the wish list.

It may be possible to generate a sort of sheet if we knew what variables are allowed in the post processor.

This is the opening code from Dolphin done for a AHHA controlled machine but it could be any machine.

;( CNC File :- Myford No3 plate )
;( Part Number ID :- )
;( Produced :- 11:12:09 Sunday, November 09, 2008 )
;( Post Processor :- M_AHHA )
;( Tools Used )
;( T05 8.0 End Mill)
;( T11 3.0 Twist Drill / Center Drill)
N 20 G00 G21 G17 G90 G40 G49

There is a post on the Cut2D forum that explains how to get the tools listed.
