You'll need access to Aspire.

The best/only way I know to make components like that are two rail sweeps.

BTW the upgrade to 11.503 is free

Not Really!!!

With time you can do it in V-Carve Pro. Here is just the outlines. Next add some contours using various tools. It may not be exact but it can be your unique touch to the final carve.

Another option is the "Mirror Mode" Todd did an excellent Tutorial on it. I couldn't find it otherwise, I'd attach the link. SpindleTV covers the
Mirror Mode in one of his classes.

Todd grabbed one of the ClipArt Flourishes and manipulates it about the center and with the various options in the Mirror Mode, created components which looked like your example. If I understand correctly, VCP has the same ClipArt as Aspire.

Good Luck,
Brooks

Thank you all for your great advice,
Sahrkctup, I am very interesting as how you create this shape, It can be cut easy using ½ MDF and run round toolpath and will look fine.
Did you just create this from scratch draw line / Polyline and curve it using node editing mode?
Or just use any library?

Brooksm, I was watching the mirror mode video, but my Vcarve does not have mirror mode at modelling level.
Maybe I have to upgrade my VCPro, currently I am running 11.0.10

No library, all drawn out in V-Carve Pro using tools available. Drew out the left side then when it was completed I mirrored it to the right side. Then added toolpaths for both.

the mirror part is the easy part :D
did you use line / Polyline and curve it using node editing mode?
have the hardest time to make the curves and radios smooth and consistent.

can you point me to any video can help creating this kind of shapes.
Thank you in advance

I first enlarged the image for tracing ease because when finished I can always scale it to whatever size I needed. I then traced the image using the "Arc Tool" along with some node editing. After drawing all Vectors I had to join all but a couple of Vectors for toolpathing. When this was done I then created toolpaths for the Vectors accordingly.

Here is the file without toolpaths.

Monlover, you are going to waste a ton of time fiddling around trying to develop creative tool paths in V Carve Pro. OhioLyons is spot on with his advice about using Aspire. For that matter any true 3D design package will fit the bill, you might want to try Blender if you want something that is free and extremely powerful. But be warned, all 3D design packages come with a steep learning curve, there are no free lunches

I do not use Blender, but it would be a frosty day in hades when I started fiddling around trying to do something like that in VCarve Pro. I am a Rhino guy.

So many creative thinkers in here. Amazing.

How can you make that - just ask in here and someone is likely to have a way.

I have Aspire, so I would have thought 2 rail sweep, but yes, that CAN be done in V-Carve Pro.

Fantastic idea.

Leo
as you said it is an amazing place to get all this valuable information and directions from professionals.
I checked my VC pro license, and I am $1300 away to Aspire.
My question is, how easy to accomplish this task using aspire.
can you kindly post any link for any Aspire training video doing this curves and tool path if possible?

Thank you.
