Splice tool?

Post by Robroy »

Good day forum, does vcarve pro have a way to slice an object apart to toolpath each piece(s)? The trim tool does not do the job that I am looking for.

Thank you in advance

Here’s where some clarification is needed. The thread title mentions splice while the body mentions slice. There are pretty much opposite to each other.

Also trim suggests a 2D method while posters so far have presumed a 3D model.

If it's 2D then the Explode Vectors tool on the Gadgets menu (assuming non-desktop version) and/or node editing is what you need.

Really needs a lot more information as to what you're wanting to do and whether it's vectors or components or both that you're working with.
