How to attach/mount your products?
Hello,
I need some ideas so I'm asking this question.
I wonder how you all attach your products that you have made to wall or ceiling? Do you buy ready-made suspensions/mounting or do you make something yourself in CNC. Please provide Pictures or link if this is okej.
Thanks.

For items to be mounted on a wall, I often use a french cleat. Google the term to see what it is. Add a single screw and it will never come down.

Plain picture hanging supplies and 3M Command strips. My light stuff get a pair of magnets inset into the back, because they go on refrigerators. Then I can use a large head thumb tack for sheetrock walls if necessary.

That is brilliant! I'd never thought of that before, but now that you say it, it is obviously a good solution. Thanks for the suggestion. My light stuff get a pair of magnets inset into the back, because they go on refrigerators.

How long is a piece of string ???
There are so many different ways to mount different items so it really comes down to the project that you are dealing with at the time & if the customer wants it to be something that is permanent or removable.
If you post some pictures of the sort of thing you make it might be easier to make some suggestions
I have used all those mentioned so far plus a wide range of other methods, including rod & wire display systems, stand offs, button-fix locators, nylon sign locators, VHB tape, fishing line (for floating appearance) Big Head fasteners.
That's just what comes to mind just now, I have also manufactured some parts myself if I couldn't find something suitable off the shelf.
If you look at sign display systems & point of sale display it should give you some more ideas

I use these a lot: keyhole slot plugs (link
They are relatively expensive, so I only use them on pieces that are $200+. They have the advantage of being dirt simple to mount, allow the piece to be mounted flush to the wall, and look professional.

After thinking about these plugs for a while, I decided to try making them out of Maple. I like the results. It's easy to make a batch of these keyhole plugs ahead of time. They are installed by drilling a 1" hole into the back of the plaque, then gluing in the plug. Now I need to go and make a hundred plaques...

I have just been asked to do a job where they might be a good option. the piece is quite heavy & I can't machine too deeply into the bottom of the material so a bit concerned that a regular keyhole slot isn't going to be strong enough
Customer wants the option to be able to place the dish/platter on a flat surface or hang it on the wall so whatever method I use needs to be flush with the base

Re: How to attach/mount your products?
You could use an adaptation of the French cleat. Cut a pocket that is at least 2 times the height of the intended v-bit to be used. Then cut a profile along the top edge of the pocket using a v-bit at the same depth as the pocket. Of course, the preview won't show the undercut. Then cut a board smaller than the height of the pocket with a bevel to be mounted on the wall. In the example pic, notice the profile cut begins and ends inside the pocket
