Hi all
I can't find anything to my problem in the search so here it is...
When I follow a guide for creating dovetails (such as the one on the 'Dovetail | V11 | Vectric Gadgets' page), my pins are coming out wider than my tails even when the pin/tail width is exactly the same.
For example, I set my tails width to 12mm, then my pins to 12mm, no cut allowance in the offset or anything, and yet my pins are larger! After it happened a second time on a brand new file and setup, I zoomed in on the preview (with the preview complete flat, no tilt) and checked the X position of the left vs right side of the pins and the preview shows it larger (~2mm or so) when compared to the width of the tails.
It's the same bit (1/8) for all the settings. I checked, checked, checked again there, and the same for the profile toolpath to cut the actual pieces out.
Can anyone help please?!
