I need to make some table legs for an island. I have a 4th axis for my CNC which I've never used, and I'm thinking this is a perfect way to get going...
I'm wondering if someone can point me to a good video tutorial on this subject. I've seen some with wrapped text, carved leaves and other things, but I need to be able to do a leg that you'd normally see come off a lathe.
The legs I'm looking to do are similar in style to this: https://www.tablelegs.com/country-shera ... 2-75-x-18/
Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Re: Rotary Machining
I've only played with the 4th axis a little but I believe the moulding tool path is going to be the best option to recreate a leg like that. I could be wrong as I don't have much experience with the 4th axis.

Re: Rotary Machining
I did this all in Aspire. It still needs some work.

Re: Rotary Machining
Moulding toolpath done in VCarve. If you used a square blank the unmachined areas would be square.
