So my Desktop 11 gives me an option to use Carbide ATC post processor
I have a Shapeoko with bit setter and I'm thinking the ATC is for changing out bits mid carve with all toolpaths saved as one file
I have not used it yet as i want to make sure its not a post processor for fully automated bit changing,
I currently use Shapeoko TC but as the machine is made by Carbide i thought it may have some advantages, did post on Carbide forum but not much info gathered
is the Carbide ATC post processor stable as i have only just seen this as an option and prefer software that's been out a while and bugs all fixed
I use USG platform and Carbide Motion to control the machine depending on mood or carve

Re: Carbide ATC post processors
That post processor, in common with most ATC ones regardless of platform, uses macro calls to do the bit changes so it depends on how those macros are defined within your control software.
M6 is the command in question.
