Hello Community!
For some time I've been trying to get VCarve to work on my M1 Mac using Parallels and Windows 11 for ARM. It works quite well, actually, much better than it did with the previous version of Parallels Desktop (now v17) and Windows (now 11). But I still have a problem when opening my Vcarve project, I get the error "Vcarve desktop encountered an improper argument" and I only have the 3D View. Anyone has an idea?

Re: VCarve Desktop on M1 Mac
A search for `parallels "improper argument" ' comes up with a fair few programs that are having problems with this so it's not limited to Vectric products. The solution, which I believe has been mentioned here, is to use the "C:" drive within the emulated Windows environment.
For that matter I came across a posting for Rhinoceros 3D that was interesting:

Just like many macOS or Windows OS bugs it's an old one.UPDATE: So I had to do a fresh install of windows 7 and had to reinstall my programs. I did not lose any files but just the hassle of reinstalling programs but Rhino finally works again! I guess there was a windows file that was corrupt and caused the error.

Hehe that works. Of course it's an X86 application running in an emulator within a virtual machine so it's pretty slow. If Vectric could make an ARM build...
