Can't open a CRV in Vcarve Pro for a file made in Aspire
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to open a CRV file in Vcarve Pro that was made in Aspire. Is it possible to open this file in Pro?
Thanks

Aspire & Vcarve use different file formats, Vcarve uses CRV & Aspire uses CRV3D so you can't open an Aspire file in Vcarve
Unless of course the file has been output from Aspire in CRV file format & in that case it should open without problem unless it was created on a newer version of the software than you are using & in that case you should get an error message

Thanks I thought so but figured I'd ask. He sent me a CRV file and a CRV3D file so I thought maybe I could open the CRV file.

Hello silverteener,
Yes, as Martin wrote, you should be able to open the CRV file in V11 of VCarve Pro.
If you are having problems, please drop a copy of the CRV file to support.
Cheers,
Mark.

Thank you. I tried copying the file here but It's too large. I will try again. I do have the latest version of V11 but I'm not sure what version of Aspire he has.

If you can't open the CRV file you should be getting a message telling you why not or at least giving you an error number.

Hello silverteener,
If you drop an email to support, they can provide you with an upload link, if the file is too large to email.
I hope that this helps.
Cheers,
Mark.

You'll need to send that file to support as Mark says and they can tell you what the issue is. That particular error is nothing that normal users like me and Martin can help you with.silverteener wrote: ↑Tue Sep 21, 2021 12:22 pmDoc1.pdf
