Did this for a friend

Post by Jan.vanderlinden »

I did this as a wedding gift for a friend of mine.
His family crest on solid cherry.
16" Dia. 1" Thick
Finished with Odies oil.
CNC the perimeter and lasered the image.
Key hole slot on the back for hanging.

Very nice. Good job on tuning the burn parameters. Cherry is tricky.

How did you clean the burn residue off the Cherry?

When it was done, I just blew it off with a air blast and then hand rubbed Odies oil into it.

Edit.
I just re-read your post.
Maybe you meant the over burn.
I did block sand it with 220 to get rid of the over burn.
Then applied the oil.
