Tool path problem

Post by helensdad »

Hi, I am trying to cut the toolpath shown in the picture, all I want is the outer profile but for some reason it is implying I am using the wrong tool. I am trying to recreate the original shown in other image. Any help would be gratefully received as it is driving me nuts...

It will toolpath ok if you set the it machine On the vector but otherwise it won't as that outside vector is not a closed vector. If you close it then it toolpaths fine with outside or inside settings.

I have closed the vectors but the dialogue box says there is 1 open vector and I can't find it. If I cut on the line I will loose the chamver around the perimeter, I have never encountered this problem before...

Sorted! Many thanks. I used the search for open vectors from the edit menu instead of using the join vectors icon, once forud the vector was joined in the usual way.
