This game in the image below? I also attached an image you could import for the layout, have you watched any of the Vectric videos yet?
You definitely want to watch those to get started

Re: new user not sure where to start
There are templates in the Clipart called 2D Games. I have them in Aspire, and pretty sure they come with Vcarve. They are very nice vector images that are re-sizeable. I made a bunch last Christmas as little gifts for all the guys in the family. I used cheap golf tees and cut a little off the end. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C9 ... UTF8&psc=1
They were a big hit.

Re: new user not sure where to start
Post your crv file. It looks like you are cutting a single line font 'on the line'.

Re: new user not sure where to start
If you're still using the same font that you were in the first pictures then it looks like you've generated a v-carve toolpath but you've used an endmill for the actual cut instead.
As said though you really need to attach your VCarve (CRV) file so we can see how you've set things up.

Re: new user not sure where to start
There are a few different ways of using text to achieve the look you desire, you should also learn to use & trust the toolpath preview as it will save you wasted time & materials.
As others have said posting your crv file will help. by doing that people can see what you have done rather than you posting pictures & people guessing
There are a number of tutorials that cover the creation of text & the various tools that can to used to alter/change it

Re: new user not sure where to start
There's no toolpath in that file for the text so no way to tell what you did wrong.
Looking at the other toolpaths I would guess that you used a ball nose/end mill bit with the v-carve toolpath which would give the sort of result you got. An actual v-bit would give you the result you're probably after for the text.

If this is the look you are trying to for, take a look at the toolpaths and the bits I used.
