Difference in domes and dishes
Hi,
I am trying to find out what the difference is between the 4 Dome-Dish clipart pieces in VCarve Pro.
Thanks
Steve

Re: Difference in domes and dishes
Just try dragging one of each into a new job and compare the default shapes?
Then you can play with changing into ovals by handles/changing to subtract/and then sizing and height.
All depends on how you want a project to look.

I've learned my lesson well. You can't please everyone,so you have to please yourself

Re: Difference in domes and dishes
To add to scottp55 (presented dome looks)
Here is Dish Looks ---
Here is an image showing how the dish is created by adding a Zero Plane and then selecting subtract.
Can get some interesting shapes using the handles, height (base and dish) it all depends on the users visual preference of visual appearance of the final results of the project.
Just my added thoughts/opinions!!!

Re: Difference in domes and dishes
The difference between them is that they have all been created at a different angle which affects the curvature (if thats a word) of each shape. They can all be altered in different ways as Scott has mentioned

Re: Difference in domes and dishes
Am working on some square platters that I was originally going to do on my lathe but at the size (12" and 14" square) decided that it may be safer to do on the CNC.
Anyway, I worked it out and am carving. Will post some photos once I am done.
Thanks.

Re: Difference in domes and dishes
You can put a ladle of soup into a dish - but I would not recommend to do so on a dome.
Imagine the Possibilities of a Creative mind, combined with the functionality of CNC
