Hi,
I have 2 files (1 the copy of another) and have a profile cut in each. The parameters are exactly the same but the time estimates are vastly different. Can anyone hazard a guess as to the reason?
Thanks
Steve

No clue without seeing what is in the tool database.

Please attach the two CRV files. If they are too large to upload then place them on a file sharing site like drive.google.com or dropbox.com (free accounts are available), make the files shareable, and post the links to the files here.

Re: Same profile cut - different times
In the meantime. Turn every toolpath off except the profile toolpath (for each file) and repost a comparative image.
But Carters 2 and Carters 3 vary significantly from each other as far as the top and bottom text paths go (Carters 2 uses a v-bit and Carters 3 uses a square-end cutter). It's possible that some radical change was also made to the profile paths—hence the desire to see them in isolation to make sure it's not now trying to use more vectors than the original.I have 2 files (1 the copy of another)

Hi. Thanks for the response. Issue was purely user error.
Stupidly, I should have just selected just the toolpath in question but I had all selected so I was not able to see the difference. Maybe I was just too tired. Looked it with fresh eyes this morning, selecting only the profile toolpath and it showed that the CARTER text was also included (don't know how that happened but again - maybe too tired last night).
Always come back to the basics I guess!!
Thanks again.

Re: Same profile cut - different times
This where using layers and the "Vector Selector" (plus using the "Associate with Toolpath" checkbox) when creating toolpaths is often far superior to manually selecting vectors for a toolpath. (See https://docs.vectric.com/docs/V10.5/VCa ... index.html)
