Spoil-board help

Post by jimwsmith »

I’m having a bit of trouble finding any tutorial on spoil-board surfacing or engraving a grid on my spoil-board, after surfacing. Any help will be greatly appreciated. My table is 12”X 13” and I have an Next Wave Shark SD100, if that is important. 😊

All I do is a .5mm pocket cut across the entire surface of the spoil board with a 20mm bit, then I create a 50x50mm grid across the entire board and cut that to a depth of 1mm with a 90 V bit. This may work for you.
