At 16:31, notice her cursor was showing she was at center of material,
AND she says"Now we're going to press Alt to center the box on material" (paraphrased before coffee).

Notice she has Text in a Box margin set at "None"....that will put at least one max dimension of font
at the boundary box border.
Different fonts and names are obviously going to affect that.

You CAN stretch the font obviously for reasons of cutting, but font begins to look Funky very soon.

May not be right for you, but here's what works well for me for "Snap Options";

Ya gotta be careful when working along with Vectric's tutorials....
They THINK in Vectric...and Cruise right along!! :)
When I was learning from James, almost every minute I said "HOW the HECK did he just do that!!" :) :)
I must have backed up on each tutorial dozens of times to learn tricks and shortcuts :oops:

Funny!
When I was training up the second machines operators, all the tricks I learned were used
and they kept saying "Back UP! How did you DO that???" :)

You'll catch on very quickly IF you watch for the shortcuts while working along with the tutorial,
and backing up the vid when things go wrong! Beki DREAMS in Vectric I bet. :)

I wish Beki had this wonderful tutorial back when I was protoing buttons and key fobs!

Hope this helped...rushing as doing my first cuts since January today(and checking things THRICE:)
I've learned my lesson well. You can't please everyone,so you have to please yourself

Hmm....Not a tool I've used since VCP 9.0**, but downloaded your file and watched Beki's tutorial;
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGWLB0rvsHs
to 24:30 where she goes to wrap text next.
THINK you and I did it exactly like she did, BUT all I got was a grayed out "Text on a Curve" box???
BEKI TUTORIAL 24 30 TEXT ON A CURVE GRAYED OUT.jpg
Can someone who uses this feature all the time point out what we're doing wrong???
I'm working on another project that is using all 3 of my brain cells :)

I didn't have that font available, so got funky messages, and couldn't resize your text for some reason.
Got curious enough to do a new job, and text on a curve worked as expected(even on bisected circle);
as expected.jpg
Then added my own line of text at your size and got this message;
Changed text message.jpg
Then shrunk my text, and using your curve...it worked as expected;
TEXT SHRUNK AND IT WORKED.jpg
Perhaps shrink your font and try again???
(You can expand your font to fit the curve once you get the options available?)

I have to leave town on business in about 5 hours so I won’t get to it till Friday but I will try other fonts and see what happens
That is the font I used for the first names, that is why I chose it. Thanks for your input
By that time, I was pretty frustrated I guess it was time for an adult beverage 😂😂😂
I really want to learn stacked text and text on a curve. I really think there is endless possibilities for creativity doing that

Check the text on other side box :) :)
Then slide it around the curve,or scale text to fill curve.

Tutorials are good but quite ofen the one you watched might not cover everything you need to know or even if it does then it is unlikely you will remember everything you watched :lol: :lol: :lol:
Don't be afraid to experiment a bit yourself, the form for text on a curve has quite a few different options so don't be afraid to try different options, you can't break anything by getting it wrong. The undo button should be a good friend :lol: :lol: :lol:
