Currently working with a bronze sculpture artist building bases for his art work.
These bases will also have components and wiring to light the sculptures with
LED lights. Everything was great when I did a series of bases sloped at 45 degrees
using the molding toolpath. the bottoms were pocketed out and the fluting toolpath
was used to create a matching slope for the dimmer switch to mount, and a channel
for the charger. A depth of 1 inch and a ramp length of 1 inch yielded the 45 degree
matching slope.
My problem is now he would like some 50 and 60 degree slopes. When I adjust for the
ramp length I am not getting correct results. I need the 1 inch of depth to fit the dimmer switch.
I know I'm missing something really simple but brain fog has set in.

Re: Fluting Crazy
Are you using "Ramp over complete length" or "Ramp at Start" with a "Ramp %" less than 100?jay pieper wrote: ↑Wed Jun 09, 2021 4:56 pm...some 50 and 60 degree slopes. When I adjust for the

I was using ramp at start, and 100 percent ramp

Re: Fluting Crazy
Got it, came up with a formula that allows me to produce what ever
angle I need to match the angle of the molding toolpath for the top
side. Glad I paid a little attention to those geometry classes in High
School.
