Error loading tool database

I am running VCarve Pro Shopbot Edition and recently installed the software from the portal.

The new installation seems to be missing files. I was able to find and copy the postpocessor file OK but I get an error when I try to import a tool database. (.tool file).

Shopbot support helped me with the post processor file and suggested that any file in the tool database folder might interfere. There was a .txt file in the folder that I deleted and then tried to import the .tool file again and got an error. Thoughts? I was able to create one new tool and use the defaults but I feel more confident with a library.

The tool database has a .vtdb suffix. The .tool is for an exported file created from an older version of the software.

What error are you getting when you try to import the file?

I am running the VCarve Pro Shopbot version and it is only v7.514
When I click "import" in the tool database menu, it is looking for a .tool or .tool_db file, which is what I was sent from shopbot today.

The error reads
"Failed to load tool database from file"

Must be something corrupted with the file I would think. I just exported from VCarve 7 into VCarve 10.5 without any problems. Here is the file I used so you can see if it works for you. You'll have to unzip it as the .tool file type isn't supported on the forum.

Thank you! Yours worked. I tried several of the ones directly from shopbot support but they all fail to load. I wonder if there is a repository of files somewhere on the shopbot wiki or forum. Maybe it is something in the downloading from Dropbox.

Maybe you would be so kind as to post a .zip file of some one in inches for the lame American who still can't commit to metric? I suppose I can tweak the defaults that show up when I create a new tool but it would be nice to have some basic ones to work with.

Here it is. Remember that is just a set of defaults that came with the software. You still have to make sure the settings make sense for your machines capabilities.
