what went wrong

i was trying to put text on a banner and it looks funny. I have tried to adjust depth many times and it still looks funny

Your banner component does not match the outline. It is smaller than the banner outline by quite a bit. The v-carve is dropping off the edge of the component by the full depth of the material at the top...there is literally no component there for it to be projected onto.

All I did is get rid of the 3Dd model.

Just go back to your v-carve toolpath and uncheck the "Project onto Model" block and it will carve the way you want it. joe

Thanks to all that made suggestions I will have to fix that when I get back home on Friday
