Moulding toolpath

Post by jjh45131 »

Hi all, I am trying to create the coin bank from in the lab with Todd. I need to change some settings. Mainly material thickness to 1.5". when I do that the Moulding tool path leaves a flat bottom then starts the curve. Just by changing the material thickness shouldn't the software recognize that and adjust the tool path? Any ideas? Thanks, Jeff

Did you check the position of the model in the material on the toolpath tab? Also there is a toolpath position in the moulding toolpath itself.

You'll need to adjust the dimensions of the profile vector in order to accommodate the thickness difference. The software doesn't do that automatically.

I looked at Todd's coin bank, it doesn't use a Moulding Toolpath, that I saw. Look at modifying the height of the Dish Component.

Update: instead of modifying the Dish Component just change the cut depth on 07 - Pocket - Center - .245EM from .55 to .85.
