Saving g code in tiling

when your design is done and tool paths assigned ,then you select tiling tell it what size tiles you want which in my case was 3 tiles .At this point is it just a matter of saving the g code and the software creates a cut file for each tile .then is a matter of moving your board to the location of the next tile until all are cut. Is this right
