Hello Everyone,
I am working on a project for which I need to carve some wood panels (see attachment), I always carved from an existing clipart, is there any way you can help me on how to get this done?
The approximate dimensions are 23.5"L x 35.5"H
Thanks in advance for your help
Horacio

Re: CARVED WOOD PANEL
You could find a program to create a line art image of that image and then importing the line art image into VCarve for Tracing for vectors.
Will need a clear line art image in order for VCarve to present an accurate tracing though.
Or
Spend time Drawing your own vectors over the original image.
Either way has its advantages and disadvantages not to mention the time involved!

Most of the straight lines can be done with pocketing toolpaths.
The row of beads can be done with the standard dome and flat rectangle components from your clipart library.
The blossoms are a bit more of a challenge. Perhaps someone could make you one or two (for variation) and save as stl files, which you can then copy along the row.

Re: CARVED WOOD PANEL
If you are trying to make it appear hand carved (as in the picture you posted) that is quite a challenge.
If not, it is actually pretty easy. Most of it is simple copying, arraying, mirroring. Actually very little drawing.

For a larger image of this see:

Like most things it is possible to effect as long as you are willing to invest the time and effort in doing so. There is not one method to use for all the bands. The "balls" band will need a different technique than the "diamond" and "triangle" band. etc.
