Are you selecting the correct toolpath? Profile versus Pocket

Re: Pocket tool
Its cutting the profile and not the pocket. I want it to remove all the wood.

Re: Pocket tool
It's one of two things. Either you're not creating a pocket toolpath as Sharkcutup suggests or you're using a clearance tool in the pocket toolpath and you're only running one of the two (or more) toolpaths that is created in that scenario.

Will you upload your Vectric .crv file? We can take a look at it and be able to tell you right away what the problem is.

Re: Pocket tool
Why so many tools used in pocket toolpath?
On average only two is needed! One for major cutting/hogging out and another to cleanup the edge.
You have two circles just what are you trying to pocket? The First inside circle or the area between the two circles?
You need to review and work along with the video tutorial link I provided in an earlier post.

Re: Pocket tool
When you're previewing it looks like you're clicking the "Preview Selected Toolpath" button rather than "Preview All Toolpaths" or "Preview All Visible Toolpaths".
At the moment you're just previewing the toolpath highlighted in blue which is the profile part of the pocket so you're only seeing that.
You've got multiple tools of the same size in the toolpath as well. Typically you'd use one for the large area and a smaller one for fine detail.

Re: Pocket tool
I tried the pocket tool in latest version of VCarve Pro 10.5 and found out that it generated three toolpaths using three different bits. Can I create a pocket toolpath using one bit?

Re: Pocket tool
The TOOLS section of Pocket Toolpath list your bit selection. Just below this list box is 'Select, Remove, Edit'. Use Remove to de-select the two bits you don't want. You can even remove them all.....jeffmorris1956 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 20, 2020 2:04 amI tried the pocket tool in latest version of VCarve Pro 10.5 and found out that it generated three toolpaths using three different bits.
