Once installed, I get this message when I click on finished and try to launch the new v10.5 install....
I'm not sure where to go from here....
Any ideas?
Thanks, Peter

This issue is related to Windows XP. We are working on fixing it - when we're done we will release a patch.

The patch 10.503 that fixes issue with start depth in pocketing toolpath among the other things is now available to download.

Sorry I thought my issue was with v10.5. I never had this issue before and when I used v10 yesterday everything was fine. When i try today I am now having problem with v10 also. It is with a pocketing toolpath and it either doesn't show toolpath for all selected or freezes up while calculating. I have successfully run this job a few time other than a custom name change on bottom of sign. The name toolpath is seperate from the one I'm having problems with. Any suggestions

Try the Vector Validator tool to see if there are any issues with the vectors as part of the name change. Other than that you're probably going to have to post the file here or send it to support so it can be looked at.

THANKS!!! That worked. For some reason though any change I make, even if it isn't with that toolpath, I have to revalidate the vectors. Not sure why it would work sometimes but not others. But I'm glad I can get it to work everytime now.

Are you using the text tool to make the changes? The issues might be with the font itself if you are. Some fonts are really messy as far as CNC work is concerned but look great to the eye.

I am using text tool but that portion comes out correct. I'm using a simple text that I've used on over 50 signs now of the same size. My issue is with a school logo that sits above the text. I've not had this problem before but at least I can get past it now.
thanks again

I updated and installed 10.503. I am using an Optlaser 6w laser and it worked fine before the upgrade. Now when I try to find it with the postprocessor it is not there. I am currently not able to make my laser work with any of my old saved files.

Use the "Next Wave CNC (inch)(*.tap)" post processor. They merged all their different machines into one post processor.

I have a project with 2 tool paths using the same tool. When I save the tool path, only one of them is saved. I have to save each one separately in order to run both. Worked fine in 10.0, not working in 10.5

Thanks
Sheldon

Make sure you have "Visible toolpaths to one file" checked at the top of the Save Toolpaths form.

That didn’t work at all. I also tried the (metric) one and neither one produces a postscripted G code file that works. Now I am stuck with loading Ver 10.022 in order to make it work at all. Also my tool library won’t transfer over and I have tried that numerous times. Not so happy with the 10.5 “downgrade” at this point.
