Aligning a curve on box sides so the 4th side lines up

Post by bbowers12 »

I have 4 box sides. I want to make a curve shaped that lines up on all corners when the box is assembled. The first 3 corners are no issue. Is there some easy way to align the 4 corner of the curve shape. Think of these as mitered corners that will fold up. I have attached a picture.

You could use a horizontal guide and snap each end to it.

You can also go into node edit. Select the two end nodes and click "Y" on the keyboard.

The other thing you need to take into acount is how you are going to cut the 4 pieces, are you looking to us a v bit & box fold or a straight endmill & cut into 4 seperate pieces? Either way there is going to be a bit of hand finishing for each corner, the thicker the material you are using the more you are going to have to clean up
