copy of desktop pro

Hi,
Due to this self-isolation/stay and home thing that is going on at the moment my grandson has taken his laptop home to do his schoolwork which has left me unable to use my Stepcraft 420 as I cannot create the needed files. My laptop has always been a Linux machine and so won't run Vectric software. I have a Samsung N145 PLUS notepad with Windows 7 that hasn't seen use for a while, what I would like to know is can I load my Vectric Desktop Pro 10 onto this machine and will it run ok, or, would I be better loading windows onto my Linux and dual booting.?? Any help please.

I believe the Samsung N145 PLUS notepad only has 1GB of RAM. I believe VCarve prefers 4GB of RAM.

Thanks for that. I have had a thought and I now need to run UCCNC on the same notepad, it looks like this a nono. It has been that long since I ran the programmes I can't remember which version I have. I know it was the new Version 10, and it was VCarve but I don't remember if it was Desktop or Pro.

Log onto your Vectric portal account (portal.vectric.coom) and it will show you which version you have.
