Question about V-Bit

I have been using these settings for my Amana insert V bits.
Anyone use these and do my settings look correct.

I got the setting that Amana has for Vectric tool Data base. Here is a screen shot of there settings

Well, the settings really do depend upon what you are cutting. The settings in either screen-shot may be correct for certain materials

I once engraved some text on a bee's wax slab that needed to be run at: 2,000 rpm and 10 inches/minute feed rate. Even then I suspect 2,000 was too fast. I wouldn't recommend those speeds for rock maple.

The settings look "reasonable" - even to the conservative side.

If you put the number of flutes in the box asking for that, Vectric has been so kind as to calculate the chipload for you. I would gander a guess that .005 - .010 would be reasonable.

Leo how do they get the D dimension .0313.
When I did my "D" dimension I measured across the cutting area.
Is the "D" dimension arbitrary. It is not the shank dimension.

how do they get the D dimension .0313.
That diameter does not make sense unless the V bit is only 1/32" wide
