using resin

Post by Aussie »

Hi All,

My first time using resin..... the plan is to do a raised 3D carving in resin, I shall use form work to build the resin at 10mm above the timber base.
My question is coating the inside of the form work so the resin does not adhere to it...what do you use?

Thanks
Ron

You can use plastic packing tape to line your moulds. Or do you call it cellotape?

I 2nd that. It's really just a spray polyurethane in most cases, but it will allow you to seperate the positive and negatives.

I use heavy duty packing tape and then coat it with Johnson Paste Wax
