3D Finish Raster Not Cleaning Up Vector Boundary
3D Finish Raster Not Cleaning Up Vector Boundary
I have a 3D Finish toolpath (Raster). Is there a way to make it follow the vector boundary on the last pass?

Why don't you use the vectors you used to create the model?
It looks like you had vectors to cut the shape out. So what you do is select the profile toolpath, tell it to project onto the 3D model and set a ridiculously shallow depth of cut, like .0001.
Your file did not contain those vectors that I could find.
BTW, it is a bad idea to model a smaller part in a huge sheet, you lose resolution on the model itself.

What Ted said.
Try reducing the Stepover on the tool. Also the blue line isn't the outside edge of the bit, it's the center line of the bit.

Projected profile toolpath worked! Thanks.TReischl wrote:Why don't you use the vectors you used to create the model?

I will look at the stepover, thanks.highpockets wrote:What Ted said.
