dust shroud, strip brushes

Post by buck4 »

Okay, here is my first major question, I've had the cnc machine for 1 year, and I'm now wanting to connect my dust system to it, no problem there. What I need is a flexible strip brush approx 4" tall and 36" long I'll cut the length to fit. Can anyone advice. Thank You........Buck

Buck,

If you visit http://www.mcmaster.com/ they should have what your looking for. Just do a search for "strip brush" and you'll see all of the ones that are available.

You will find what you are looking for on page 1227 of their catalog. Look under "conveyor strip brush"

Mcmaster sells them in different materials. I used the thinner of the nylon material in 2" length and they work fine. They also sell horsehair.

Some of the Large Hardware box stores have door sweeps that might work.

I've also thought about those brushes\brooms that mount over the trailer wheels on the semi trailers.

Thank You, Mike and Bill. I have placed an order for the brush I believe will work for my dust shroud. I did find an outlet that had the brush I needed but they wanted to sell me 500 feet, I only need 36" minus.
Best Regards...........Buck
