What software version are you running ? If your running V9 then the vector validator should show you were the problem areas are, if you are going to try & vcarve that then you will need to set a max cut depth as there are lots of large open areas. I would probably use a profile toolpath cutting on the line to do that
Can't be any more help as I don't have the software on this computer. If that isn't a free image from shutterstock best to not post it in an open forum

Use the Vector Validator tool (last icon, second row) under Edit Objects. This will show you where all your issues are.

Thank you for pointing it out,
now what is the next step, the validation found 198 overlaps and 802 intersections, not option to correct the situation . where to start.

There is no "auto" fix for the problems in this image.

You're going to have to start learning how to use node editing. Watch the tutorials please.

Here's some information on what Vector Validator is telling you https://docs.vectric.com/docs/V9.0/Aspi ... dator.html

Ok I have just downloaded that to another computer with software installed, don't know what the purpose of this free download is but it's not really suitable for vcarving or vinyl cutting, it's made up of lots of overlapping closed vectors, it would probably take a lot of time to try & edit this so it would vcarve or cut on a plotter OK.

Your best bet if you want to use it is to do as I suggested in my first post, try a profile cut on the line, you can try using different angled bits & different depths of cut until you get the look you are after

Well, there's always a way to skin that cat :D :D :D :D

The "vector" art work was just too much of a mess to fix, I don't have that much patience :D :D

I enlarged the view of the art as big as I could on my laptop monitor, I took a screen shot and saved it as a png.

Now I have a bitmap image I could vector trace. I tried several times in Aspire, just couldn't get the right setting, it would look good, but when I ran Vector Validation on it it was worse than the original. I took the same png into Inkscape did a Trace Bitmap with a .099 threshold on Brightness Cutoff. Saved as a svg and imported into Aspire. Checked the vectors using Vector Validation, no issues.

Did a simple v-carve with a 60° V bit.
