Hi,
I created a project that has multiple parts. I created separate files to help me keep organized. Also, keeping in mind when I finalize the project I would combine them; if possible. So I make sure I use layers, constant orientation etc.
After finishing the design I went to import (file->import->vcarve file) the files into a single vcarve file and all of the data on the layers collapsed onto Layer 1.
Question: Am I missing a step to ensure that layers and data are preserved?
Thanks,
Andy

Re: Importing VCarve File into Final Design
Hi,
As long as the vector data wasn't grouped (if grouped the data will be imported with the groups layer), the layers with data on should have been preserved. Can you send the two files to support@vectric.com so we can take a look?

Re: Importing VCarve File into Final Design
Thanks to support my problem was resolved.
"... you need to make sure that all layers in your design are set to Visible before saving it to be imported.
If a Layer is set to hidden then the Vectors will be moved to Layer 1 in the import."
I overlooked that.
