Re: Users Group in Houston
Hi Santiago,
I am in Sugar Land. I am a novice and have recently gotten into CNC as a hobby. I am definitely interested in participating in a users group.
Thanks

Santiago,
I'm a DIY CNC hobbyist here in North Houston area as well. I'm very interested in a users group and would participate if the timing is right.
Thanks for leading the way.
Take care,
Jeff

I'm about 40 mikes south of Houston. What type of activities do you have in mind?

Re: Users Group in Houston
Hi Jim
Well I wold like the begin with some type of users group where we share knowledge and learn from others.
Vectric sugest me to do it here in the forum but in 2 days I have only 3 contacts.... not to happy about that Vectric will not share emails from users in the area
So I have to wait until a good number of users decide to reply to this post.

Re: Users Group in Houston
I would consider coming to a meeting. I am about 300 miles away, but the only meeting that has been close was the Dallas meeting in 2009. It was nice and small and very informative, because people had a chance to meet and talk. I learned more from meeting people and asking questions, than making a year of mistakes trying things out.
I have CNC lathe, mill, plasma, torch, routers, etcher, and do CNC scanning. I can answer some questions, and still have a lot of questions, there is always something to learn from people with ideas.
I like Aspire for a lot of things, but use 4 or 5 others, for things Aspire does not do easily. Sometimes you need to mix and match. But for routing Aspire is easier to learn and use than most.
