Cannot double-click on .CRV file in Windows ME

Post by Rcnewcomb »

When I double-click on a .CRV file to open it and launch V-carve Wizard I get the error message:
Windows cannot find '{whatever file I clicked on}'. You may have typed the name incorrectly in the Run dialog, or another open program cannot find a system file. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search.

This happens with any CRV file.

The files open fine from within Vcarve.

If Vcarve wizard is already running and I double-click on a .CRV file from Windows Explorer, nothing happens. No error message but the file is not opened.

The work-around is to just open CRV files from within Vcarve Wizard.

I'm running Windows ME 4.90.3000

Glad I could help. It'll also work in Windows 2000. I don't know why I forgot to list it. Basically any windows OS above 3.1 (boy that was a while ago)
Take it easy.

Double clicking to open a .crv file work has highlighted a problem that will be fixed in version 3.

In the mean time please open files rather than double clicking.
