VCP is dropping letters

Post by sawguy »

Can anyone tell me why "VCP" is dropping letters on curve when I program toolpaths All letters are selected, but when you run the preview, it will leave out a letter.http://www.vectric.com/forum/posting.php?mode=post&f=2#

We could use a little more info... is it possible you bit won't fit inside the letter?

Usually happens with a script type font, that has overlapping vectors. You can use the "Edit Text Spacing and Curve" tool, or convert to curves and do some editing to either join or separate the vectors.

This happens to me when I try to run files that include (high detail) graphic and text in one tool path. It goes away if I process the text file as a separate tool path.
I never thought to post it as I just moved on after it was corrected. Thanks for asking the question. I will be watching for additional answers.
