how to cut a concave or egg shape in a piece of wood

From the clipart, choose a dome shape and place it on the board
In the properties, set it to "subtract"
Use the size handles or the sizing tool to set the size
Add a zero plane

Make sure you add a zero plane or your edge will rough.
