Rosette Preview Carved in V-Carve Pro Version 11.505

1.248" Material Board Thickness

Z --- At Top of Material

8" Diameter Rosette
1.245" Rosette Thickness
.003" at top of Rosette for a clean carve

you mentioned you are using VCarve V11.505
what option in Vcarve can turn the 2D to 3d Model?

Here is a slightly different look. The file is too big with toolpaths so the toolpaths are in a separate file and the toolpath boundaries are on different layers. Good Luck with your project!

In that post you are referring to I just imported Ted's Model into V-Carve Pro set it up into the Material Board (1.248" thickness) as noted and then added 3D Toolpaths (Roughing and Finish) then a Profile Toolpath for the Cutout.

The 3D Model was imported. There are Certain Features (model properties) in V-Carve that you can adjust a model once it is imported and you can also use certain Clipart as I had used a Dome clipart to create the Stamen (Center) in the Earlier version of one of my example attempts.
