create a shape in VCarve Pro 11.504
New to VCarve. Question. Can you create a shape (solid object) from Vectors?

You can't create components from vectors with vcarve, you would need the modelling features of Aspire to do that
Pictures of what you would like to achieve might help because there may be a way to do what you want using a different approach.

As martin said more information would be helpful. If you think about it VCarve makes solid objects from vectors all the time. Here’s someone’s more extreme example: click me

I agree with Martin and Steven.
I'll add some comments:
-you can import a 3D model created with another CAD software in VCarve and machine it with the 3D toolpaths
-you can't design a 3D model in VCarve but using a proper combination of advanced toolpaths, you can get a 3D shape as the extreme example Steven linked to, or something simpler as the gothic quatrefoil from this tutorial:: https://www.vectric.com/support/tutoria ... quatrefoil
In other words, you cannot model a 3D component with VCarve, but you can machine one.
