Clean up with smaller tool
Clean up with smaller tool
Hello, I'm new to VCarve Pro. I have been using EnRoute 6 on a Multicam 5000 series router. In EnRoute when 2D cutting there is an option for a "Fine" pass, which basically allows you to use a smaller tool to clean up only areas that you are unable to hit with a larger tool. The Fine pass is really nice, because it makes cleaning up the hard to reach areas extremely quick and efficient. I have been unable to find an option for this in VCarve and I am wondering if this exists. If anybody can help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Re: Clean up with smaller tool
I think vectric calls it "rest machining". I believe you can access it in 3d carves and maybe some other stuff but I am pretty new to this.

Thanks for the reply and info. I'll look into that and let you what I come up with.

Re: Clean up with smaller tool
The option exists on the Pocket toolpath for 2D cuts. You add more tools in the Tools list of the Pocket toolpath and it will generate a toolpath for each tool listed if there is material for it to cut.

Thanks for the info and the links. This is pretty complicated for newbie, but I'm going to my best. Thanks again!
