can't cut the top and bottom of the name "falgout" like the other words

Can't tell since you did not include the toolpaths. But, at the least, the horizontal vectors have to be trimmed away where they cross the letters.
If you let us know what toolpaths and bits you use, someone may be able give you a better answer. Best if you can attach a screen shot of the toolpath window.

its 1/4" mdf material and using a 1/8" straight bit

it will not let me trim the top of the letters and the bottoms

The letters must be converted to curves. Right click on the text and the option is just below the center of the popup window.

The FALGOUT letters have been converted to curves. The are underneath the FALGOUT that is still a text object. Select that top FALGOUT and move it to its own layer (unless you want to delete it) then hide it and you’ll see.

Also, you have a few spots with weirdness (I’m ignoring the lower left object):
  1. the area between the date “2” and the year “2”
  2. between the “0” and “4” and “E” and “S” and “S” and “T" are overlapping vectors and unjoined vectors
