Too many nodes...

Post by gregr »

Hi,
I'm trying to create a parametric shape and had a friend do the slicing etc. for me. I've imported it no problems, nested it no problems, done all the toolpaths no problems, but the cnc is struggling with the final cut-out shape - which looks like a simple shape but when i look at it in node editing mode, it has hundreds and hundreds of nodes. Is there a straight forward way to remove any unnecessary nodes? I've attached a sample of the shape with all the nodes - but I have nearly 100 different versions of this to cut and the file created and cnc process is currently a challenge! Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Greg.

Use the Curve Fit tool. I've attached the settings I use but they may not be the best for your type of job.
