Open vectors??? Why

I typed this draft to be carved in Vcarve pro. Why am I getting this window 161 open vectors? Help please. Thx.

What type of font did you use?

I would suspect that you've used one of the Single Line fonts which are made of open vectors. That isn't an issue as they are generally cut using the profile toolpath set to be on the vector where open vectors doesn't matter.

If you're trying to use a v-carve toolpath then you'll need to create the text in a TrueType/OpenType font instead with the Text tool as that toolpath won't work with open vectors.

As Adrian has said sounds like you have selected a single line font with a vcarve/engraving toolpath

If you are new to the software then it is well worth while spending some time working through the tutorials, this one covers the text tools & there are others that cover the different types of toolpath
