Transferring really old designs to V11

Post by mrmfwilson »

I would like to transfer some old designs that were done in older versions so that I can organize all the different files into one file on sheets. Some are so old that I have a different file for back and front sides. I know how to bring everything in except the toolpaths. I am I stuck with recreating all the toolpaths or is there some trick to get the toolpaths to transfer?

Thanks
Mike

You can export/import toolpaths as templates via the relevant icons on the toolpath tab if you need to.

Thanks Adrian. I notice my stl models aren't coming through either. Any help there?

STL files become components once they are imported so you can open the old VCarve files and you can copy/paste the components between open VCarve sessions to build new jobs if needed.
