Corian wedding gift

Post by IBBruin »

Every young newlywed couple needs a good cutting board. The back side is flat. The good part about a corian board is even after a few years of use, if you run over it with a orbital sander, all the cut marks disappear.

That looks great. I want to cut some corian but am not sure how to setup. what type of tool - feed rate - etc. did you use on your piece?

Hey. Nice work.

We are going to make a cnc work over corian, can you tell me the tool values you use to this job? On Cut 2D?
The material as 6mm... we are going to use an endmill of 8mm
Any help will be appreciated.

Tks

That was a while back so it would have been on my old, smaller machine that could not go over 30 IPM. I didn't use a roughing pass. I think I used a 1/16 ball nose with a 10% stepover. There are plenty of people here with more experience with Corian than I have. Maybe they can help.
